Thanks for visiting my job market website! I am an applied economist working on topics in agricultural and health in developing economies. My primary research interest is understanding individual decision-making in response to environmental uncertainty.
My job market paper focuses on foodborne illness, a major global health burden which is under-studied within development economics. We implement an RCT providing relative risk information on a health hazard to very poor households and analyze how this causes participants to update their beliefs and change their real consumption decisions to mitigate this risk.
I currently work at the International Food Policy Research Institute on a portfolio of projects on health economics including work on food safety, wildlife trading and zoonotic disease risk, and antimicrobial resistance. I have extensive experience managing and implementing development research in a wide range of contexts.
I am available for interviews at the 2026 ASSA Meetings.
